There is a Shakey's branch at BF Homes, along President's Avenue, Paranaque City.

Today at 12 noon I placed an order for pizza. Take away. Upon ordering I told the waiter to ring up the check immediately to save time. I was to darn hungry.
10 minute pass. No check. 20 mins. I follow up another waiter to ring up the check. The table of four beside me, the family who ordered after me, is served their meal. They even notice my tremendously long wait.
30 minutes. The waiter comes back with bad news. After half an hour, they are still unable to cook what I ordered. Something to do with the dough's consistency. Apparently, hand-tossed pizza they say uses a different kind of dough (??).
Disgruntled, I stood to leave, but the waiter said if I order some other item on the menu, I won't have to wait that long. Hungry as I was, I decided to believe him and ordered something quick -- fried chicken. Waiter says it should be done in 10 minutes. Stupid me for believing.
At this point, I had already wasted a good 30 minutes waiting for a pizza that was never gonna come. I told the waiter to hurry up with my new order and bring the check already (for the 3rd time).
40 minutes pass. Still no check (and no chicken). I pull another waiter and tell him that it's already the 4th time I asked for the stupid bill. I was patient enough to even explain to him that he should ring up the check already to save time.
45 minutes pass. Still no check but my chicken arrives. I complain to the waiter that his bill is taking too damn long.
50 minutes. I signal to the store manager to give me my check. This was my 6th follow up.
Check finally arrives after one friggin' hour. I give my card, waited for another 10 minutes before the card receipt is handed to me for signing.
I finally left Shakey's, with a box of 7-piece chicken, after more than an hour of waiting. Imagine that. Oh and let's not forget the bill which took a full hour before they could ring it up for me.
To make matters worse--
The whole time, the store manager knew what was happening. He was there, standing a few meters in front of me, overseeing the service of his crew. I knew he noticed every time I followed up. He knew I was pissed off. But not once did he look my way (as if on purpose). Not even when I would stare at him waiting to make eye contact. Not once did he show any move to try and hurry things up for a disgruntled customer.
In the picture, the store manager is the guy in the stupid yellow outfit.

I tell you, after today, I will never order from Shakey's. Whether in that particular branch or elsewhere.
